Cheetah from the Tarzan Movies!

Cheetah is a male chimp in his early 70's. He was one of the original "Cheetahs" from Johnny Weismuller's Tarzan movies.  He has been at the sanctuary since the 1950s and lives at peace with his other primate friends. He is a very special chimp, with lots of love to share, and is a real silly chimp who loves to play hide and seek with his care-givers.  Cheetah has a great pastime of playing with balls and will dribble them, throw them, and even roll them back and forth with his caregivers. His favorite color is blue and his favorite foods are grapes, apples, and bananas.  Cheetah loves his enrichment activities and spends a lot of time finger painting, and playing with the toys we give him.  Our goal for Cheetah is to continue to provide him with a loving atmosphere, and to socialize him with other chimps in a roomy environment.  We need your help!  With state laws changing, time is running out, and Cheetah deserves to remain in his home with the people and community that love him.   Cheetah is now happily housed in his new habitat thanks to PROJECT REBUILD.
